Default Front backing plate castle nuts, finish

The judging standards says that the front backing plate bolts are unfinished, but doesn't mention the nuts finish.

I am pretty sure the nuts are also unfinished. I usually spray a clear sealer, like rattle can dull or flat clear lacquer, to keep the nuts and bolts form rusting for a while.

I've sprayed bare metal hardware with Dutch Boy Fresh Look Acrylic Enamel 3733 CLEAR. The can doesn't say "semi-clear", but I suspect that's what it is because it doesn't give the nuts that glossy look, but rather a natural look.
