Anyway, there is visible flaky rust in the gas tank. I did a search on the forum and have been reading through some old threads. I'm going to use a shop magnet on a stick and get what i can see first and then i thought i would try flushing several times with a rust remover.
I've found references to two particular chemicals and i was wondering if anyone had an opinion as to which would work better: Evapo-rust or esprit from rustdepot.com?
Thanks,,,

many of the model a parts houses sell a ssmall stand pipe that slides right into your gas tank valve . This is a tube with a stainless steel screen on it that allows you to suck gas from a higher point than the valve intake ,, thus the rust settles in the bottom of the tank and good gas flows through the screened tube ,,, pretty cool huh ????
