That's not "Mr Know It All" its "Mr Know What I Saw". Ford cars and trucks saw a lot of hard use and often had modifications made by owners and dealers. Ford made running changes and some of them are quite rare and not well documented. Ford also is known to have allowed employees to use prototype vehicles in their daily private use (free test bed), and a couple are known to have been sold "used" and survived in the "wild". Even with all of that my guess is your truck had passenger fenders installed at one time and bolt holes added. It is best, IMHO, when dealing with Ford practices it is best to NEVER say "never", and NEVER say "always".
