Plate rivited on firewall near blower motor. Also stamped on frame crossbrace near
the fuel pump. Need to scarape crud off to find this onel

starter drive

My 51 with 226 engine starter drive refused to engage the flywheel. After
removing the starter i see that the spring bolt on the outboard end is gone.
The spring is good and the gear slides back...

Better to get a rebuilt one from Ken ct than a new made in CHiNA one.
Got mine 2 yrs ago, still works great. He does quality.

Ive just noticed the heat riser thermostat spring has almost no tension on
the counterweight. The counterweight is halfway between the up and down
position with the engine cold. It can be moved up...

51 flathead 6 makes a dull knocking sound just before time to shift from low
to second and second to third. I thought it was a bearing noise so the crank
was removed and it only needed a light...

7HA-6262-C2. For the H model 6 cyl, but what does the C2 mean. Undersize
cam journals? Thanks
