In need of a GOOD set of fenders for my grandmas Special coupe. I really need rear coupe fenders, but would buy a full set if they're in great shape. Preferably in CA, or surrounding states. I'm just...

Re: Wheels
Oh yeah, it's staying a trunk car. Grandma wasn't sure, but I guided her decision not to change it!
Thanks, we are going to go with the original wheels and I'll hang onto the 16's for a RPU...

Before blasting, then while getting etch primed. Skin patches being done by my buddies at Boling Brothers Early...

Re: My A misses at cruising speed... Any ideas?
I've been hearing a lot about this recently. Would it be better to buy a round distributor cap when I order a replacement? It would seem the fault is in the design of the standard winged caps. The...

Re: My A misses at cruising speed... Any ideas?
Haha, yeah you're right! A lot has been falling behind recently. The money needed to fund my addiction hasn't been good. I'll do a legit "tune up" and see if it still misses.
Thanks guys, I...

Re: My A misses at cruising speed... Any ideas?
I will try the .035 on the plugs. Never thought about the rotor to cap gap. That may be a good start. My cap is old and crappy looking, I was planning on replacing it anyway.
That could be a...

My A misses at cruising speed... Any ideas?
Just as the title says, I am experiencing a miss at cruising speed. Not anything I can really feel, but I can hear it. Car starts and idles perfectly, no other issues whatsoever. I have tried messing...

Re: A bad day with the "A"'s
When I first got my coupe I was taught to give it half hand throttle while starting.... well, that floods the crap out of it but at the time I didn't know it. I flooded it BAD at the local corner...

Re: A bad day with the "A"'s
Ahhh, yes. We all have those days I'm sure. Sorry to hear about the gas pump endeavor. But at least you got it going. You know what they say, even a bad day in a Model A is..... eh, you know!

Re: 1930 Coupe Aprons?
I would suggest removing the body mounts on one side and LOOSENING the other side. Push the body up and slide the apron out. Then put that sides bolts in loosely, and repeat for the other side. I say...

Re: 1930 Coupe Aprons?
Yes, body bolts must come out, and IIRC, there are a few bolts on the front fender along with having to remove the front splash apron between the frame horns.

Re: Non Model A
Not sure if this will work for you or not, but a few years back I had the unfortunate experience of running over a skunk. It was terrible. Nothing would get rid of the smell... I was told to take a...
