wobbling at low speeds
My Roadster has a wobble around 20 MPH, which goes away at higher and lower speeds. It also goes away when I steer a bit left or right. There's a bit of play in the steering wheel.
Does this...

Had a flat today
The stem popped off. With some help from a bystander, we were back on the road with the spare in minutes. I guess I can buy a 4.75/5.00 X 19 tube from Coker Tire.
What's the proper psi...

Re: Generator pulley casting
Thanks, experts - I bought the right part from Bert's in Englewood, Colorado. I'll install it tomorrow and should be rolling for the Memorial Day parade.
Thanks, everyone.

Generator pulley casting

Re: what other old cars are in your garage?
Dick, that's a great-looking MGB. They say we all are in love with the car which we loved when we learned to drive. Long ago, when I was 18, the car we all loved was your MGB.
Merry Christmas!

Re: Marvel Carburetor Disection
Does the GAV act the same way in the Marvel Schebler as in the Zenith?
How much do you open it at start, and how much in normal running?
Herb Concord, I think you answered this question - thanks.

Re: Marvel Carburetor
My car runs most days, but lately won't start. When I try to start her, I see fuel which moistens the joint where the Marvel carb meets the intake manifold. Has to be a failed gasket, right? Would...

Re: Marvel Carburetor Disection
Thanks for this wonderful dissection. My A has this carb. Question: is your starting routine any different with this carb? More choke? Less choke? How much GAV? How much throttle at start?

Re: Position of the spark lever question
My Model A will run one day, next day won't start. I understand that each car's GAV and spark advance lever position will be a bit different. Trying to start with full retard (up position) - no...

Mister Moose, my A does the exact same thing: intermittent, and my lights fail too. I'll have to double check the battery-to-ground cable, and the battery itself. My A has an aftermarket battery...

Re: Engine RPMs
To all - your responses are super-helpful, especially the table from AlexisKai. Conclusion from the table: driving at 25 MPH in 2d is about 2000 RPM. Shifting into 3d will drop RPM to about 1100...

Engine RPMs
What speed do you find yourself shifting into 3d? Is there a chart of RPM v. MPH for each gear in the Model A? I find myself driving around town in 2d at higher revs, because the engine seems...
