Thanks Kube for your quick response but mine is an early '46. I looked up the cowl vent assembly and either yours is either a late '46 or I am missing pieces!

My '46 coupe has the same fasteners...slot head on top and phillips on the bottom and that's what I am looking for the top screw a 5/16 24 x 1" screw!

I had the same problem with the lower hinges. Yes, a magnet came in mighty handy... As for the 2 bolt upper hinge screws, I don't mind changing to phillips head but they must be flat...

'46 Ford Brake return spring

I purchased 4 new wheel cylinders and a new master cylinder for my
46 Ford coupe. I noticed when I was installing the master cylinder that there is a notch for a return spring on the brake pedal....
