Re: Lighting
There is a first and second generation light switch and they will not interchange. You might have 1/2 of one and 1/2 of the other.

Re: Model A Horn
I only know of sparton name plates. Bratton's list the following #19830 for 28-39 and #19840 for 30-31 both priced at $ 2.05. Snyder's list only one for 28-31 # A-13802 $ 1.00.

Re: Rest of the Story
The head bolt pattern also tells us it's a 24 stud 239cu version of the flathead used in mercury's starting 1939 and Ford's starting 1946 vs the earlier 21 stud 221 v8.

Re: Original Hand Wiper Blade
I've got a 29ccpu. I picked up a manuel wiper at local used parts supplier who lives less than a mile from me ( lucky me) it had a worn out blade in a crome blade holder. I replaced it with a model...

Re: broken screws in oak, drill or give up?
The tool stew mentioned above is a plug cutter, never used one for this application but it is pure genius. Should work great. Common tool harbor freight, home depot, Lowe's has them. I would by one...

You are correct. What I meant was that the transmission was later than what should be on my January 29 truck and I believe was changed when the January 32 block number engine was installed. Some...
