Short answer yes. Those are widely used in the valve cover of much larger motors. But it worked fine on my 292. If the engine is fairly tight, there’s not much blowby at part throttle. At WOT,...

The sealed oil fill cap with the tube out (I’ve not seen one for a PCV valve, doesn’t mean they aren’t out there) is to go to the air cleaner for a “closed” PCV system. I’ve used those.
