Re: Can’t get brake lights to work (new wiring)

As tj states, 1 wire to the brake light is hot, the other goes to ground. Make sure that the ground wire goes to a good chassis or body ground. Bad grounds are often the most common electrical...

Re: Best chemicals/solutions/goops to clean off gear oil, etc. on a chassis

Tim, I agree with McGarrett, AVOID OVEN CLEANER!! I use it to remove paint!!
I build models and when I get someone else's "glue bomb" , I spray it with EasyOff to remove the paint and I use it to...

Re: What fastener?

Jeff, I don't have an early Ford, but the best advice I can give you is to take pictures of the problem. When these experts SEE an example of your problem, they are quick to give great advice. JPL

Re: Oil canister for EAB 52 Ford

Thank you all for your responses. This is the first flathead I have worked on since 1962, and I have forgotten more than I knew. Somewhere on Utube I saw a canister with a drain plug and that was...

Re: Oil canister for EAB 52 Ford

Thanks Pete, but I clicked on the wrong image and I didn't know how to correct the mistake. I thought I had an engine bay pic, but I must have erased it. JPL

Re: off-topic, but...

All these restomods have fake patina painted on the new body parts.
If you want to see real patina, sneak up on my Buelah! The rust is real and jagged and hurts, and the top coat is peeling off...

Re: I cut open the Ford Scrip battery case

As of right now, Carpenter does not list any battery. C&G lists a 6v & 12v " Ford Script " battery, both out of stock. The 6v says it's a "maintenance free" battery. Both have a 4 year warranty. The...

Betsy Jo, condolences to you and your family. I didn't know Bubba, but Ziggsters link brought him to me. I tried his spark plug test as a teenager...landed on the garage wall. Ha Ha!
