Check the distributor cam to see if all the lobes are consistent.
Here's a video that uses a dial gauge to check the cam and point gap accurately.

I had a sticking throttle and it ended up being the tillotson carb, I switched it to a zenith and it stopped. That tillotson was on a different car before that and never had any problem so I'm not...

I thought about grinding out the cracks a little and using some JB but I'm worried about the crack near the #2 spark plug especially with the higher compression.

So after leaving the head in a rust911 solution for a day and cleaning off I think I know why it was sitting on the shelf. It has cracks across the top of the head and I don't trust it enough to try...

It appears to be a 5.2:1 head but it does not have a "B" cast into it.

Make sure you have good ground connections. I remember seeing an article on FordBarn about how to check with an ohm meter. A bad ground will cause the voltage to go high.

I dropped the oil pan on a newly acquired A to check things out and noticed all the connecting rods are blued at the wrist pin. I know rods for racing engines are heat treated but didn't think that...

The rear seat in my wagon was redone and the upholsterer stated that the closest he could find was school bus seat fabric. I really can not tell a difference when comparing to the other seats.

Recently I had one that would knock bad under load and it was a bad condenser, I put modern points and condenser in and it stopped.

PB Blaster with a toothbrush or plastic bristle brush did wonders on my 29 wagon. Spray, Scrub, Wipe and Repeat.
