I did the same to my 52 willy's truck....ran 2 extra 12 volt red LED lights on my 6 volt system....tails and brakes...they work great!!! I figured this out after standing in front of a store shelf...

I used easy off oven cleaner on one with good results, and wiped off the numbers on the second one, it really depends on how they stamped it and if they made any sort of indentation in the plate...or...

I did pretty much the same thing as Tom, I used a little flux on both the filter and valve, then used a small butane torch and soldered the filter to the valve. It didn't take much heat, didn't use...

I was wondering the same thing....Mine also reads 8-10 amps during the day when charging, but goes to zero with all the lights on, while going down the road...and drops to negative 5-7 when not...

Brattons new reflectors?
Has any one tried Bratton's newly tooled aluminum reflectors, part #17950?
I know some people have had issues with re-pop reflectors from different companies and not being able to focus them...
