Re: 37 ton and a half tire options.

Thanks for the input. Definitely not going to be a show truck so I’m not worried about losing originality points. I plan on putting it to use on the farm. I haven’t tried asking any local tire...

37 ton and a half tire options.

I have a 37 ton and a half flatbed truck which currently has some very old 700-20 tires on it. Will 600-20 or 650-20 tires fit on the same rim? Were there different tire size options for these...

33-34 restoration guide.

I know the Early Ford V8 Club once published a restoration guide for 33-34 passenger cars but it seems that it’s currently out of print. Does anyone know if the will be reprinting them anytime soon...

8BA In a 33

I have a 33 Tudor sedan that has an 8BA which was installed by a previous owner. Other than the engine and the electric radiator fan the car appears to be pretty much stock 33. I’m not entirely...

Re: How many of you are doing total restorations?

Would love to do a complete restoration of my 33 Tudor but realistically it’s going to be “maintain and drive” as is for the foreseeable future.

Re: 1933 Model B and V8 drivetrain differences.

Thanks. I absolutely will be looking for the chassis catalog. I’ve been into Model A’s for a while but I’m just getting started with the early V8 cars. Didn’t really know where to start so that’s...

Re: 1933 Model B and V8 drivetrain differences.

Thanks for the info. Now I have other questions. At some point in its existence my coupe got a C59A V8 engine. Could the V8 have been transplanted into the car without changing the transmission...

1933 Model B and V8 drivetrain differences.

What are the differences in transmissions and rear axles for 33 ford passenger cars that were equipped with the model B four cylinder versus the V8? What are some of the other notable differences in...

Re: Post a picture of your car...

My 29 tudor the day I brought it home from Mobile. The orange rims have since been repainted black and it has been reshod with black wall tires. Currently the engine is out with the block at H&H.

Re: A little off topic

Congratulations John from yet another former FFA member. The mechanical and welding skills that I picked up in ag shop have served me well. Its a shame more parents and students don't consider the...

WOW! What a can of worms that opened up!
I agree that you can never be too careful about online purchases. Knowing that that was the point I took no offense even though I'm a gmail account holder...

Re: Backfire thru the Carb

Probably would'nt hurt to check the ignition timing either. I have seen timing that was set too retarded cause very similar symptoms.

Re: Backfire thru the Carb

I've seen a stuck valve cause quite a magnificent backfire through the carb on a buddy's 29 pickup. Of course it had also been sitting for nearly 15 years.
