I guess it is very possible that a '38 hood was put on at some point. How is your '39 hood propped up? As far as photos go, I will keep that in mind as there is a fair amount of stuff that will need...

According to one seller, he stated that the only difference for '40s was lack of fuel filler hole in rear drivers side and a slightly different "profile" where running boards meet rear fenders.
