An easy way to see torque's usefulness is in a diesel powered semi. It has many times more torque than horsepower.

Cam duration and better flow through the heads and intake do increase torque but they mostly increase horsepower. Increasing bore and stroke increase mostly torque. Torque gets you moving and to me...

The quick way is never even a good way. I have rebuilt and even built engines for both normal and racing use and doing anything the quick or easy way will always come back to bite you in the end....

There are several options that I have seen so far. One is changing the ring and pinion in the rear end. Being that your model is a truck I do not know if you intend to pull a trailer or haul anything...
