Re: Ford Only Show
It's a swell show. A lot of great looking cars. And the best thing about it... no Chevys.

Re: Rinse Out New Master Cylinder?
Well, master cylinders are easy to take apart. You should probably take the piston out (keeping track of the order the parts come out) and clean it thoroughly. Cleaning it with brake cleaner should...

Do these 1940 shocks mount like this or...
I'm putting a pair of '40 shocks on different car, but I didn't pull them. So I'm not sure how they mount. Is it like the first pic, bolts at a 45º or 60º? Or are they horizontal. 1939/40 owners...

Re: What is the cheapest sourse of 16 inch tubes?
Lets face it, the low demand for tire tubes has left Coker selling 90% (probably) of the tubes to collector car owners. Even at $26 or $14.95 each, that price isn't too too bad, considering.
I'm...

Re: Original steering wheel finish?
I've been using a reproduction 37-39 standard (not the deluxe) Ford wheel for a while, with about a thousand miles now on it. I never painted it and the rim has gone from a flat-black to a...

Re: '28-'29 Roadster vs. '30-'31 Dlx. Roadster
I think it's obvious to most people a 28/29 roadster is more common then a 30/31. That most certainly is true of RPUs as well.
Supply & demand may be driving the cost difference too. Fewer...

Re: Free a hood
In the future, if the seller can't provide you with a picture, don't buy it. It is 2011 for goodness sake! Everybody should have a digital camera now.

Re: Interior trim screws
None of Mac's screw kits have instructions. I've bought them before, used the kit, and I'm left wondering where the left-over screws should have gone.

Re: Wanted Wide 5 15 inch wheels
Well, I'm now a believer! I'd be willing to bet those wheels were on some sort of commercial vehicle. But who really knows anymore.
I have a pair of 16x5 wide-5 on the rear of my racer, it...

Re: Brake drums
Call Jim at Specialty Ford Parts in Rosemead (626) 280 4546. I know I talked to him once about American made A drums made locally. Jim doesn't answer the phone before 11am (Pacific), by the way.

Re: Wanted Wide 5 15 inch wheels
Personally I've never heard of, nor seen any, 15" wide-5 wheels before.
Now 16" ones are pretty common. So if you are dead set on 15s, have a set of 16s re-rimmed.

Re: Installing 49 Dist. in 48 Ford
It's easy to do, but you need a lot of parts. New 8ba water pumps are easy to find, but you need to block the top water passage on the back of the pump. Next you'll need a crank pulley, they have a...

I looked it up, and according to this website's chart (link below), it may be a little better at rust removal then glass bead. It's harder then beads, but doesn't last as long.
