59A Flathead Front Pulley
Hey fellas, I have a '39 Merc flathead with one of those spaced out two belt pulleys on the front of the crank. I can't for the life of me manage to get this thing off. Can anyone give me some advice?

tbirdtbird, the Felpro 7013 R4 is a great fit on original Winfield crows foot head. It's the only one I have found so far that fits the contour of the valve area without protruding into the chamber....

Can someone tell me with any certainty what the thickness is of a Fel-Pro 7013 R4 copper head gasket crushed (installed). I need to work out how much to fly-cut my original 6:1 Winfield head.

Fellas, that could be it...
The motor is now running new stainless modern type valves, locks, and retainers, and new valve springs, but who knows maybe something has gone bad. I'll check tonight...

Thanks Chris, I value your opinion. And will look closer at the bore size on the gasket I was using. I did use a copper gasket with copper spray sealer. In fact I thank everyone for their input here....
