Lowes, Menards and other hardware/ big box stores have grommets in most any size you want. I have gotten several sizes there that I have put in my truck.

Maybe you could try a large oil can if you can find one. I have used them to put oil into small fill holes and for similar situations but not with transmission oil.

Maybe use a dish soap squeeze...

Both sides were stuck on my 1941, I tried to delicately tap them out with a dowel rod through he coil opening but eventually had to remove the distributor and really pound the dowel cracking both...
