I put the plate back on and and when I turned the engine over until the pin hit the dot. I took out the spark plug and it was TDC.???

Here is a picture I took. I didn't see any markings on the crankshaft gear but a few places I read mentioned the key slot works also.

I bought a new gear, new gasket for that inspection window and a new oil pan gasket. Was really hoping to not have to do the whole radiator thing. Will be tearing into it tonight

Just tried to start again. The fan does move when when starting so that should be a good sign the motor did not sieze

Was driving the other day and all off a sudden the car starts making a strang ticking type sound. About 10 seconds later the car slows down on its on the then eventually dies in the middle of a bust...

So I threw some pepper in there and it seemed like it stopped. I also noticed that the outside of the radiator (the chrome shroud) gets REALLY hot after only 10 min of running. Any ideas?

I noticed that JR guy rebuilds also. I have two Zeniths and two Tillys. Thinking maybe have one of the four rebuilt and sell 3 cores to him for a new one. That way i have a spare.
