LEDs can be voltage and polarity specific - or not... depends on how they were made - i.e. what circuitry is included.
For example - there are LED 7" round headlights that are neg ground only and...

I used black leather dye (not polish) on my very faded running board...

I ordered some new 1 bulb headlight sockets from one of the vendors.
When I received them, the packages were marked 1 bulb headlight socket; but, the packages contained the 2 bulb headlight...
