Spare tire cover 1933

Gentleman, On a 1933 spare tire cover (rear model 40) when the tread cover is on what would be the approx. space at the bottom (edge to edge) 10" or so? It is not a full circle.

At anytime was the Greyhound radiator cap condoned by Ford for use on 1933 Model 40? Showing in a Concours and wondering if I should put the flat cap on for the show……

Original Carb. Idles fine after a good warm up and drives straight with no problems. I am entering a turn at about 5mph so the total turn is about 5 seconds
