Well it was supposed to be a 39 but some say it a 37.

Check the vacuum and than check the power valve setting.
With the fatter jet you didn’t need the extra fuel on acceleration but now since the mixture is leaner you need fuel enrichment till your up...

It doesn’t matter what the master was made for it matters what the piston diameter is.
Different cars and trucks used different diameter wheel cylinders .
