I've always encouraged people to sit in and drive a square cab pickup before putting time or money into one. Getting into one can be an acrobatic feat for some taller and or wider people.

I believe they recommend soaking rags or paper towels in the solution, wrap those around the metal, then wrap with plastic to prevent evaporation.

But seconded on sandblasting.
