Trying to mate a 53 V8 to a 39 top shift transmission so I can keep the original rear and tube.

Is it correct that a bell housing from a 49-53 light truck will work? Any other type of adapters...

Surprised not to see any Model T Fords at all. I guess they were all old cars by the mid-1930s, and certainly not classy enough for Wilshire Blvd!!

What did the factory do?

Was the outside of the oil pan dipped, brushed or sprayed with black enamel? Or lacquer?

Why are we working on Model A's and not Model U's?

I filed the top sharp edges of the key very very slightly, filed the slot in the original pulley, a little at a time, and squared off the curve of the top of the slot on the pulley to get the pulley...
