If the few drops of oil really bother you, buy a REAR MAIN JANITOR from Snyder's, Page A-127, item #A-6768. Put a couple of folded paper towels in the bottom and change every few weeks. They work...

My annoying rattle came from the heater valve that mounts to the firewall.
The control valve flapper was a little loose.

Has anyone installed a shortened PITMAN ARM that Snyder's sells? One and one-half inches shorter than the stock Pitman Arm. (Part # A-3590-S) "Says it makes for easier steering".:rolleyes:

Soak the boot in hot water and you can slide it over the PARKING brake handle without tearing it or having to cut it. A little WD-40 helps, too.:)

I had a heater valve flapper that was loose and made a rattling noise. Anything attached up against the firewall can make strange noises that are hard to pinpoint.
