Where to get a windshield frame seal for a 34 Phaeton

Any ideas on getting a couple windshield frame gaskets-seals for 33-34 phaeton-roadster .

Original stepped frames .

Drake says obsolete and no stock left .

Also the speedo gear gasket and driveshaft seal [ installed properly ] adds up to being able to use a more liquid lube .

Your brake cross shat will be happier also .

I use felt and SAE 140...

I would not use GL1 period . GL1 is straight mineral oil with no EP additives .






Post 4 has a good option [ my choice for steering box , trans , u-joint and rear .

Have them trued up . Tire cutters around here cut tires down for racers and also dealers that are replacing partial sets . Makes the new ones look like the used ones . Also makes them perfectly round...

Tube is installed right .
How many turns is it in ?
I use 5 and Loctite it .
If in too far it acts as a dam .
Look inside and you will see what I am talking about .

Your intake is 34 .
Fuel pump stand is early 34 " straight back " type .
You can put that stuff back together as it is not your issue .

Oil pump is newer and could possibly cause your issue...

No clue on where to get this .

That said the rear section [ with the diff hole ] is very different 33 to 34 .
Not exactly sure when the change happened but it seems to be close to a 33-v-34...

If the pads are new and the bolts are fine thread [ as they should be ] I go with 3 turns past contact .

Pads will settle some .

A little clarity ,
The center pic in post 7 shows a stock 33 motor with the right oil pump and NOS drain pipe .
Good idea to use one .

The use of 33-34 oil pans on 35-36 blocks is common and...

First 2 pics are a 33 motor first showing the non-vented rf area .Second pic is the same 33 motor with drain tube and forged crank .
Last pic is a 35 motor .

Compare to the OP's last pic

Your intake setup is 34 .

That said there is a early 35 intake that looks like yours .
The way to tell is the hole under the fuel pump stand is round to accept the tube that fits into the block...

Tube is not factory .
Make sure the fitting at the top of it is not screwed in too far .
If it is it will act as a dam and cause a major leak .
I have found 5 turns in is safe .

All I can say about the glove box door is it came to me years ago with the story of being removed early on to put a radio in the car .
It has lived in a dresser drawer as long as I have had it .

Body parts list effective 8,1,34 shows a front mat as 40-730400-A .
Front pad shows as 40-700402 .
These are for model 720 [ 3w ] but fit many others .

I'll look for the dimension but early 33's are not the same length as 34 . Light switch rod and steering shaft are also different than 34 .
