Re: One of my 40s at the Moonshine Festival

Ken, how was it this year? After going for many years, I stopped because of getting blocked in on the field across from the racing museum. Just one of the many good shows that got larger than the...

Re: The GREAT Ms. American 3.14159 Daily Driver Diary Caper

You said you had "pumped on the Brake Pedal a bunch of times" to make the brake lights come on. Maybe that forced enough fluid by to actuate the switch.

Re: The GREAT Ms. American 3.14159 Daily Driver Diary Caper

That round, hollow female terminal is commonly referred to as a "barrel terminal".

Re: The GREAT Ms. American 3.14159 Daily Driver Diary Caper

That is strange. You know there is power to the switch. The probability of three switches being bad is almost nil. I know it would be highly improbable, but I wonder if the passage to the brake light...

Re: 1938 Tudor Windshield

Blucar, are you mistaking the red car posted by coopman for the car posted by the original poster? To me, the black '38 in the original post doesn't look "highly modified". For the original poster,...

Re: high / hard brake pedal

The symptoms sound like the master cylinder actuating rod from the pedal is too long, not letting the piston return enough to allow the hydraulic pressure from the lines return to the reservoir. This...

Re: The GREAT Ms. American 3.14159 Daily Driver Diary Caper

Hi Mr Allison. I'm glad to hear from you. I had thought of you a year or so ago and inquired through Google for any information on you. I found that a tornado heavily damaged your home in 2019 and...

Re: My 63 1/2 Ford Galaxie

Back in the mid-60s I drove around a curve in the flat Mississippi delta and saw a large plume of dust in the road ahead. As I got closer the dust drifted enough that I could see a wrecked car. When...

Re: nasty odor

Lawson, the OP doesn't have an overflow tank. See post # 10, I think it prompted your question. He said "if there is an overflow tank."

Re: 1938 windshield seal

As stated above, the channel must be clean of all old seal, rust, and scale for the new seal to properly seat. This might require ingenuity in finding /making tools to clean properly. Look at the...

Re: nasty odor

Lawson, the overflow tube goes to the bottom of a recovery tank. If the cooling system is properly sealed, coolant is pushed out the overflow tube and discharged into the bottom of the overflow...

Re: Checking radiator for overheating problem with 1956 Thunderbird

Thinking of some possible causes on a newly built engine and install: Sometimes the thermostats are installed backwards. the spring/pellet end goes to the engine. You seems to have coolant flow, so...

Re: Checking radiator for overheating problem with 1956 Thunderbird

Your temperature drop of 48 degrees from the top (inlet) tube of the radiator to the bottom (outlet) indicates excellent cooling within the radiator. The even, steady drop and absence of cool spots...

Re: Electric power Steering in a 1954 Ford pick up?

I saw a picture where some industrious person had fabricated an inverted U in the shifting shaft over the electric PS unit in a steering column to retain the column shift. All applications might not...
