Re: Pedal Glue
I bought an offset pedal from Drake I think it was. Only problem was that it was a different thread than stock, had to drill the pedal bracket out to install the new one. Not stock, but it worked...

Re: reverse eye spring
I put a posies type complete front spring in my 40 pickup, it lowered it about 2 1/2 inches. I purchased it from Speedway, cheaper. I had to shorten my shock absorber links to as short as possible. I...

Re: 40 merc Tudor sedan! What have I done?
save your drop axle money until you try the Posies front spring. Mine dropped exactly 2" with spring alone. I am doubtful the 7;50 rear tire will work, talk to some buddy and try one of his rear...

Re: Stuck starter
If your starter ever gets stuck again. Put the car in high gear and rock the car backwards. This has worked for me on many an old Ford. Good luck

Re: Update on my 37 Ford - HELP!!!
Hi there: Usually there is a ground strap from the frame to a head bolt. Most of the time it is located above the starter. It is a flat strap, used for grounding only. Be sure to scratch the frame to...

Re: Tire Clearance | Dropped 37 Ford Pickup
Since you are just in bare frame stage, I would use the old tires until you get it all together with fenders etc., then you can see how much clearance you have with old tires, I would guess you will...

I would suggest you take it to a crank grinder and get his opinion. I believe it is worth saving. Good luck. Jack

Re: Frame issue
Looks like a real mess. You should look at someone else's stock frame before you make any decisions. Good luck Jack

Re: How much oil does your flathead use?
Henry: Don't worry about the oil consumption. It will be less after the engine has had a chance for the rings to seat in. Even if it doesn't get better, so what. On another note, sometimes the mark...

Re: '38-'41 and '42-'47 Rear PU Fender Difference
I don't know if the bolts/holes line up or not, but I have seen 42-47
rear fenders on 40-41 pickups, but the ends of the running boards need to be widened at the mounting point. This can be done,...

Re: What happened to my engine???
Sorry to hear of your engine failure, don't despair, it will all work out. You will need some help in removing the hood, it is very heavy and bulky. Be sure to place pads on the fenders and the cowl...

Re: T5 rearend
The Ford Granada is an 8", plenty ample for a flathead and even a SBF. I have an 8" in my 1948 Ford Woodie, a heavy car, no problems. Good luck and welcome to the Forum. You will get lots of good...

Re: front end alignment
I always set my toe-in zero to 1/8 of an inch. Be sure you have no toe-out. Toe out causes a shimmy. Good luck.

Re: Barn find 1940 ford conv. Value
I think 2500 is way too low, I would think that car is worth about 6000 to 8000. You can always start at 5000 and see how it goes, I paid 7200 for a '40 pickup that was in terrible shape, I spent...
