Original 1937 60 hp glovebox manual

I have an original 1937 60 hp Ford Reference Book in excellent condition. This was the book that came with the new car in the glovebox. Shows some minor use but no tears or folds. Asking $30.00.

Tank is stainless. Haven't looked in carbs but did spray starter fluid and it still didn't fire. I'm wondering if my coil has gone bad. I get fire but I'm wondering if it is hot enough.

Today I checked the compression and all cylinders were between 95 & 100. Then I ran the engine to get it warm and added a bottle of STP to the oil. Then I took it for a 3 mile ride and no change....

Put stethoscope on timing gear cover and do not detect any louder noise. Beginning to wonder if I should get a young guy with good hearing to go over it for me.

Old ford, the noise is a much more tinny sound than piston lap. Thanks for the thought though.
