Wanted: Murray inner body brace - found - thanks

My '29 Murray was involved in a minor accident at some point in its life and the braces in the rear over the rear wheel well was pushed upwards and they broke. I am looking for a new set if anyone...

Good advice too. That is the plan.

As of right now, it looks to be standard pistons. The whole thing (and head) will be shot peened to clear out the water passages and other build up. Then...

Good advice. When we rebuild it, I plan on having it surfaced if needed. I only meant that, at least visually, it looked good.

So far I have not found a marking of the size on the pistons. I guess that could mean it is standard. The guy helping me said we will get new seats and go to .20 over on the cylinders. So I will get...

I plan or keeping the radiator shell and just have it rechromed although it is nickle - a small tear at the motor crank hole needs repair.

My car was assembled at a time when it could be either...

Yes. I will have new babbits. The ones in the engine were cracked and needed to be redone anyway.

There are sleeves on all 4 cylinders. They appear to be 1/8 sleeves. I have no markings on the 3...

He could measure but that is not why I took it to him.

He is a retired engine machanic and has a machine shop in his back yard. He has a '31 fordor slant windshield and helps all the Model A...

Second piston cleaned off. No markings but that arrow and there is an "R" stamped in the top. It looks like someone use an engraver on this one and put the number 88 on it very...

Thanks for the input.

I just got back from seeing him. He says we can still use it. He asked me what the piston size was as well, but I do not know. The pistons have a ton of burnt carbon on them...
