Stromberg 97 Choke Screw Thread...
Does anyone know what thread the choke fulcrum screw is?
This is the large headed shouldered bolt that the choke linkage pivots on.
Mine has stripped I the carb top and I'd like to...

Small holes drilled in lids above the float bowl are usually from disused petrol fired heater take-offs.
As the take-off isn't there anymore the screw is plugging the hole.

How To Check Condition Of Steering Worm?
Apart form a visual inspection of a steering worm for pitting and such like, is there any other way to check a steering worm to see if its usable other than suck it see?

I'd say the channel is wrong.
The repro channels I had were really poor quality yet the studs from Drake were nice. I'd guess the channels are wrong drill the holes bigger.

Heres the same kit fitted to my '36.
Brilliant kit, bolts straight on using existing holes, good quality and makes a big difference to car. One of the best upgrades I've done.

I've got a complete Snap-On spring spreader. It is a ratchet type like yours but much simpler more basic ratchet. I'll see if I've got a picture of it.

'42-'48 Axles into '36
Anyone fitted the front and rear axles from the later Fords into a '36?
I know their wider but does 1/4" on the front and 1" or so on the back make them completely un-workable?
