No way you are going to "check it in a parking lot". You have to pull the rear end apart and open up the planatary gear carrier to check the things that may be cracked.

59ab dist. have a screw in post that the wire from your coil should be attached to. That post has a spring loaded contact which presses against the point plate inside your dist. Try unscrewing that...

I have successfully fixed several of these including a 32, 34 trk and a Packard. I was able to clean the gauge tube and unstop the line attached to it on all and I used Mack's gauge fluid with them....

With an Eaton two speed rear end you can get a lot more speed out of it. Problem is 8-9 MPG.

Need to have engine on a pallet shipped from NY state to ET on a LTL basis. Anyone recommend a shipping line. It will be business to business so loading and unloading not a problem.
