I just remembered there was also a Ford plant in Pico Rivera, CA (L.A. area )
in the early 60's. Could that be the one you remembered ?

I have one on the bench.
total length from end of the input shaft to the end of the output is 34"
length of the casing alone is 27 1/4"
length from the center of the crossmember mounting point to...
