This might be a dumb question but I don't seem to be able to stop water from leaking from the water outlet on to of the head. Yesterday I broke the outlet casting trying to tighten and upon removal...

With the front end on jack stands, I have about 4" of play in the steering wheel. Is this acceptable? Also How full should the steering box be? Everything seems tight, I feel no play in the king...

Thanks Brent, I don't have a commercial headliner so I thought I would attempt to fabricate one. That's my problem. If it only tacks to the upper structure I should be able to make a good looking...

So are you saying that the headliner just tacks to the roof bows. What is used as backing to keep the material tight? I wondered if Masonite might work. Harv

1931 fuel shut off valve question

Bought a new in car fuel shutoff valve but it only seems to thread into the tank 1&1/2 full turns. Does this sound correct? and also should yellow Teflon tape or pipe dope be used? Thanks in advance...

Does anyone have any experience using a modern muffler in place of the tapered muffler? My 31 coupe has a hole in the muffler and sounds bad. Just wondering if a modern flow through muffler will work...
