Thanks for the advice! I used a combination of ideas to get the worm moved up. I ended up first pressing the worm off the new shaft by threading the end, installing a 5/8 bolt, made an aluminum block...

For sale: 1940 axle and unsplit wishbones

I have what I think is a 1940 axle and unsplit front wishbones. I kept the backing plates and spindles but do not need these parts.

Thats what I was thinking. I looked at a 1926 catalog at our local library and figured it was 26 or earlier and a commercial body because of the door catch positons.
