Re: Bendix conversion F1 vs F100?

Do you have any more details on how you got these parts to work.

When I set the same parts together, the '40 style Ford drum sat against the outer lip of the F-250 plate when it was about 5/8"...

Re: Bendix conversion F1 vs F100?

Speedway makes an adapter that also includes the support for the wire wheel center.

Re: front brakes replacement

Are lower anchor pin cam holes in the repop shoes correctly located? Some repops were made incorrectly. Original Ford on top, defective repop on bottom.

FWIW I think the brass cams should fit...

Re: 1950 ford flathead 11" pressure plate flywheel clutch old trick

If you are trying to somehow use that juice clutch pedal as a mechanical pedal; you better weld the appropriate length ear on it in the geometrically correct place. That hole visible in pedal now is...

Re: 36 wood grain company - original stamp

If you google Oxford Varnish Corp; a bunch of lawsuit stuff pops up. Lot of description of the processes. One has link a to one of the patents in issue. That patent has another link to some drawings;...

Re: Splitting a wishbone

I usually cut it thru the weld, bevel the cut edge, drill a 3/8" hole thru the 'bone sideways. I don't worry about a tight fit; but more about alignment. I clamp the 'bone with the yoke vertical...

Re: what is correct wiring for a 12v system

Unless you got something special; most of those 1 wire alternators are 100 amps or so. I wouldn't run them thru the stock ammeter.

Re: V8 Stuff on HAMB

You don't have to "do" Facebook to make use of Facebook groups and marketplace as a source of parts; lot parts move on Instagram too.

Re: Shop led lighting

I scrapped all the 4 ft fixtures and put up the same number (as tubes) of those 4 ft linkable LED lights; but in single bulb strips closer spaced than the two bulb fluorescent fixtures had been. No...

Re: Converting 1940 Ford backing plates to self-energizing brakes

Not rocket science to convert them; but unless you can do the work yourself, the Lincoln repops are probably more economical. If you are going to buy, tough to beat Speedway's deal on the MT brakes....

Re: Spring spreader for reversed eyes

Looks like there is a bar under the spring leaf, bolted to the angle iron.

I'm with Jim on those cast pipe couplings; not a good idea to use them under kind of load.

On the other hand; I have...

Just need to build up the worn area and then grind it level with the unworn area. I'm in Oakdale, just off 694 & County 14 (old hwy 5).
