I think the answer is no. Have never seen a n.o.s. or new production shaft, B6608. Have turned turned a few As for various project's though.

Having drilled through the deck surface of countless As and many Bs I can say I saw a trend. A blocks the decks all seem to be about 3/8"s thick. Early Bs the deck seems to be about 1/4" inch thick....

We rode in a gm bus when taking the Ford plant tour about the same time as Dodge. Some smart as pointed that out to the tour guide. She answered we were riding in a giant mustang!

You could just buy a new stick on timing tape, overlay the nurex tape aligning with your pulley zero mark or just make a new mark on your pulley to align with the nurex zero, notch or white paint...

I think .003 per inch of diameter is pretty clear. These specs are always for the minimum clearance. If fitting/xhecking rings in a new cylinder then an inch down from the top is enough for checking...

If it were me I would completely disassemble the engine . I would send out for balancing. The crank, flywheel, pressure plate, disc, pulley, fan, rods, pistons. If you don't you are just guessing.
