transmisssion kickdown rod

I have a 1969 Ford F100 390 engine C6 trans
looking for a transmission kickdown rod - has an Edelbrock 4bbl manifold and carb. Any help finding one would be appreciated.

I ordered parts from Mac's on line. Got the parts from New york to Michigan in 8 UPS days. Every thing on order was correct. No complaints here.

Fuel system is good. I don't know if the plug wires have ever been changed.
I suppose that might be the easiest thing to start with. Any more ideas?

37 ford with a 48 merc engine. It starts and runs good under light throttle.
When i step on it and at higher rpm it sputters and misses. It has new plugs.
Could it be points, wires??? HELP.
