personally, I prefer using it the way Henry built it, simply move the 3rd brush down if driving at night, up in the daytime.

I 'think' the end play is designed so that as the rear end swings through an arc with suspension travel, even though the actual movement isn't as much up by the clam shell, having the speedo drive...
