When I had a rumble seat I also had a special blanket or towel I would spread if I anticipated riders. I eventually solved the problem by returning the space to a trunk, which was original to my car...

I had a friend in college who rode a Triumph and kept a 12” length of tow chain in reach in his saddle bag. I’ll let you riders figure out what that was for. :-)

I have restored originals on my 29 Tudor and Stipes on my 29 Business Coupe. I don’t notice any difference between the two. Neither offer much comfort. The old joke is "the passengers in a Model A...

The windows as shown by JCLEE in the original post are not correct for a 54A. 29 business coupe.

Only the ‘29s had oval windows. I have one, (see my avatar) and the ovals are 14” x 9”.

I used 3X for years before they got so expensive. Tried some others, settled on Autolite 3076 last year. So far, so good.

I’ve adjusted fingers with everything still in the car. It ain’t easy, but it can be done. Securing the locknuts was the hard part for me.

I’ve never been able to bend the rotor without breaking it. Nor have I ever achieved the recommended 0.25. I gave up, and in 60+ years of driving Model A’s I’ve never noticed any trouble with this...
