Re: Car died 2 blocks from home.
Thx for the interest. This is a five year old thread, but, as an update, I've had the car out many many times since then, and no problems. So, I just let well enough alone. Haven't done anything to...

Re: It has arrived
Good looking '56. I've had one or another of them for the past almost 60 years now. It's a good ole car & fun to have.

Re: Kultulz
Very glad to see that you're still around Kultulz, and completely understand about getting tired of the comments of some who just don't get it, etc. But, please don't disappear totally, as we still...

Re: Where to get a replacement gas cap?
The Stant G22 gas tank cap came today and is a perfect fit. The listing on the eBay ad has it as a Chrysler, DeSoto, Dodge, etc, but as evintho pointed out, on the box, the list goes on to include...

Re: Where to get a replacement gas cap?
evintho for the win! I think that the "ears" need to be longer, and based on the picture he shows, it looks like a match for me. I've ordered it from ebay and it will be here next week. I'll let you...

Where to get a replacement gas cap?
I must have left my gas cap at the station. Dunno how long its been missing, but at least a few months. The car is a '56 Ford Victoria. I checked at Advance Auto and they don't have. Looked at Rock...

Re: 1955 Crown For Sale
That is exactly what I thought when I noticed the steering wheel. Looks like the death grip on the steering wheel I've read so much about. Poor guy.

Re: Makeshift repairs to get it home
Sort of similar story: my '63 Falcon exhaust pipe support bracket broke, under the middle of the car, running over some root or something, and I "fixed" it by bending a wire coat hanger around the...

Re: Duplicate Keys
Just last week I took my specialized house key blanks to Ace Hardware. These blanks are pretty expensive, and hard metal. Ace cut them, no problem.

Re: Great Race 2021
I enjoy the progress posts, so please post away. The Great Race stopped here in Wilmington, NC, a few years ago, and I stopped over to see the vehicles. Quite a varied display and all in good shape.

Re: ABS warning light
That estimate was from the dealer during annual state inspection. That was when I lived in Pennsylvania and the ABS would work, per the dealer, and actually when I hit snow once and slammed on the...

Re: ABS warning light
Sort of a similar problem.... I've got a '98 Acura CL that I've owned since new. The ABS sensor light on the dash has been on for over 12 years now. The ABS does work, but it'd be over $500 to get...

Re: Leaking differential
[QUOTE=KULTULZ;1982034]That rattled a few cobwebs. You are correct. FORD used a removable carrier rear assy prior to the 1957 9".
Now the question is, was the rear drained with removal of a rear...
