It means that when the lever is advanced, #1 won't actually fire until the rotor is in that position, based on when the timing of when the points close. In the retarded position, #1 will fire sooner...

Like Mitch said, adjusting the spark lever advances the points by turning the upper plate. Doesn't change the position of rotor.

I would have recommended iMovie on the iphone. It, too, is free. But it's much more comprehensive and has some really nice features. It's also more user friendly, in my opinion.

Yeah. they also don't roll up all the way though. I can pull them up as I crank to get them up all the way, but they'll drop a little. So I think the spring isn't holding them very well.

Window regulator refurb
Does anyone have any experience or insight on possibly restoring window regulators on a 1929 Fordor?
Not sure if I should just buy the reproductions, or take the time to restore the ones I have....
