So I got a new brake light switch and tail lights work now. but i notices that the lens has red on the bottom and and orangeish yellow on top. the brake light is on the top with yellow side lens. ...

so you are saying once it is bolted on the light will turn off? And then come on when the pedal is pressed? I will bolt it on tonight.
