Be careful of Engine Stands which mount to the water neck inlet bolts on the side of the block. This is one of the weakest points on the casting. Almost every block has some cracking in this area....

Running an overdrive under a heavy load (pulling up a mountain) will overheat. I watch my temp gauge, and when I go into O/D, the temp rises as I go faster. If I run at 65 MPH, temp is right at 210....

Update on troubleshooting. By taking the timing pin and pushing in the hole with the engine running I can check the cam position. When the engine is speeded up, the cam moves forward about 3/16"....
