Re: 1957 lincoln parts availability
this is step two of my research. i looked at a few common parts suppliers like rock auto and such and there was little available so I came here to confirm my suspicions.
the goal with the car...

Re: 1957 lincoln parts availability
well, I wouldn't say I'm learning to swim, I'm just unfamiliar with the particulars of the lincolns. I currently own a 28 ford and am building a 32. both are filled with earlier ford parts though....

Re: Stromberg BIG 97
physically the carbs are the same as a 94. only real difference is that the throttle plates are much bigger so the intake would need to be match ported.

Re: Stromberg BIG 97
I think there will be a huge difference as long as you can port match. the 2110 is a monster on the throttle plates. I need to get on finding a matching carb. all the dyno testing i've seen says 2x2...

Re: Stromberg BIG 97
i looked up the number and it wasn't a bugspray carb. pretty sure it was an oem ford unit or replacement from the 50's. the bugspray units have electric choke if I'm not mistaken.

Re: Stromberg BIG 97
Interesting that you are trying this dale. I'm building a blower setup and want to stick with 2x2 on it because three looks too crowded on the Eaton m112. I picked up a really nice 2110 that I need...

Re: 8BA running rich
One other thing often overlooked is the little chrome airfulters are like running a choke. I had 43 mains (maybe even less) on my 97s for years with the little chrome filters and if I pulled them off...

Re: Cyl Heads-Navarro vs Edelbrock or Offenhauser
yes, this was directed at bonneville only. weight and packaging isn't nearly as important.. well packaging can be but you can design around it. on a flathead you can use up a significant portion of...

Re: Cyl Heads-Navarro vs Edelbrock or Offenhauser
I've been tinkering around in my mind on supercharging without losses.... think bonneville records.... need ballast in the nose usually anyway... so lets run some batteries up there and spin the...

just did a litter research, based on the casting number the master cylinder I have is for a forklift and costs about $18. it's 1" bore. really, if it works it may be a cheap option for a master...

Re: Master Cylinder Gift Horse
I bought a master cylinder off Ebay years ago that claimed it was a 39 Ford unit or a Hudson unit. When I got it the mount pattern is correct but the shape isnt ford. Looks like it may say 1" on it?
