Some info I should have included. It has an Edelbrock 4 barrel and a Mummert intake on it.

The car is a cruiser. Lowered 3", continental kit, etc. Just looking for the most efficient set up...

rear end suggestions

So, I did the AOD swap in my 59 Edsel with 15" wheels and a 292 and stock rear end with 3.10:1 now.

The trans was for an 88 thunderbird with a 302.

What rear gear ratio would be a better set up...

That looks like the same bracket minus that strange flat piece on top of mine that has two holes to mount who knows what.

I was going to pretty much cutaway all the excess which will end up close...

Yeah, I have the Lokar AOD selector on the way. Just got the T.V. cable and an Edelbrock cable bracket and looking at the stock Intake mounted throttle set up. I am hoping I can dx the shifter rod...

I already got one good answer prior, then another. Seemed like the run of the mill "you should take that someplace else" or similar comment like take out the SBC that has little or nothing to do...

Sorry, I am not tracking.

The TV cable and gas pedal are one issue.

And the column shifter another.

The TV mounts to a bracket off the carb and it looks like that will not be in the way of...

So far, I got the Bendtsens AOD adapter to attach the Trans with. Got the Lokar TV cable but cannot use their throttle cable as it will not work with a OEM gas pedal. I am hoping I can somehow use...

Oh, I know a Fairlane and an Edsel are the same car with a different hat and tie but I did not want to state that out loud as the Edsel mafia is always watching.

It's not my truck it's a buds. He has about 20 Ford vehicles and 3 have SBC. I keep telling him that is 3 too many.
