Re: 1932 The Deuce, Dually, Dump Truck

Re: 1932 The Deuce, Dually, Dump Truck
The first photo below is from Ford's archives showing the installation of the prototype vacuum clutch. Ford went so far with the idea that they sought and were granted a patent on the design,...

Re: 1932 The Deuce, Dually, Dump Truck
Seabees,
Chris's vacuum line is the early version for the four-cylinder intake manifold with the vacuum line connection at the front of the manifold, as he indicates. The majority of '32 fours...

Re: 1932 The Deuce, Dually, Dump Truck
Chris,
Sorry to learn of Cheryl's fall. I wish for her a speedy recovery. Unfortunately, the risks of losing one's balance increase dramatically with age.

Chris,
I'm looking forward to seeing both you and Cheryl next week. Maybe we can take a little spin in your truck like we did in Franklin, TN last year.

Chris,
Let's plan on that in June in Dearborn.
Which starter cable do you need, the non-electrical one that controls the switch and is attached to the steering column bracket on the other...

Re: 1932 The Deuce, Dually, Dump Truck
Chris,
Sorry about your bees. They have been subject to several epidemics in recent years.
A gallon of coolant after a 10 mile trip is way too much. On the other hand, don't over fill the...

Re: 1932 The Deuce, Dually, Dump Truck
Mart,
Maybe, but the pedal clevis would still have to travel to the front end of the slot before the release rod starts to move forward. And if the clevis did not end up at the rear of the slot,...

Re: 1932 The Deuce, Dually, Dump Truck

Steve and Chris,
I am having a hard time accepting a slotted rod (and more importantly, the resulting free travel of the clutch pedal). It simply makes no sense. The chassis parts catalog...
