If I understand your question right, the battery cable handles the power for the starter. The ground to the block makes the complete circuit for the starter and the yellow wire powers everything...

Another one sold for $21,000 and was almost a match to the first one. Both had been converted to 12 volts and had alternators.

Well I got the shaft out by grinding one end of the pin off and taking the pin out. It looks like the housing is broke but probably useable. Don't know if I will be able to get the screws out and...
