I don't have the original screen so I don't know whether it was galvanized or painted. The new one is...

36 Ford PU cowl vent screen installation

I bought a new screen from MACs that is supposed to fit my 36 Pickup. It appears to be too big to fit down in properly to allow vent to open and close freely.
Anyone experienced anything similar?
