Helmet distributor side caps

I plan on replacing plug wires on helmet dist. What is the procedure for separating the inner plate from outer cap. Does it screw off or pry off?

I have cleaned the distributor and ready to reinstall. I have read somewhere to spray inside with a moisture displacment like wd40 or something. Is this a good idea or will it be harmful?

I adjusted as David G suggested and now have over 1/2 pedal. Car is stopping good and is straight. I had to maximize pedal and rear rod clevis adjustments to get this. Will be looking to replace...

I have adjusted rods and shoes but pedal goes almost to floor and hand brake will not hold. My question is , if I adjust the hand brake , will there be more distance from the pedal to the floor?

I used a propane torch to remove rubber. Tried on top directly to rubber and made a gummy mess, then went to bottom and heated metal, result, the rubber was easy to scrape off with a putty knife.
